Welcome to My Implants Dentist, your trusted destination for high-quality dentures in Perth. Whether you’re in need of partial or full dentures, we offer comprehensive solutions tailored to your unique needs.

Many people reach that inevitable point in their lives where one tooth (or more) falls out. Luckily, there are a few surefire solutions, one of which is dentures.

Among all the missing tooth replacement options, dentures are certainly worthwhile. Whether partial or full, it works to give you back and perhaps even improve your previous beautiful smile. You won’t need to worry about the aftereffects of a missing tooth; visit the denture clinic  Perth, and dentists will seal that gap.

But before you go ahead and schedule an appointment, this article will equip you with everything you need to know about dentures in Perth.

What Are Dentures?

Dentures are artificial teeth that a dentist makes to replace your missing teeth. They can be made from plastic, nylon, or metal and are usually custom-made in a dental laboratory to fit perfectly in your mouth.

You can secure the dentures with a dental adhesive or implants. In any case, once secured, dentures allow you to perform regular oral activities like chewing and speaking with ease.

When it comes to quality, we don’t compromise. Our dentures are crafted using the latest technology and highest quality materials to ensure a comfortable fit and natural appearance.

How Do Dentures Work?

Although dentures are a temporary tooth replacement option in that they can be removed and may need adjustments or changes once in a while, they are a reliable alternative to natural teeth.

A denture will resemble an arch of teeth with the surrounding tissues, including the gums. This is possible after a dentist performs a thorough dental examination on you in a denture clinic.

After the procedure, your impressions are collected, and the dentures are secured in your mouth. They function just like natural teeth and can be cleaned relatively easily. The dentist will check that the denture sits comfortably or makes any due changes.

Emergency Denture Repairs

When you start wearing dentures, several situations may call for an immediate denture repair , which is why we offer denture services in Perth,WA. It’s best not to try to manage the situation yourself, as it could worsen in such a case.

Emergency denture repairs involve a same-day fix of broken dentures, loose dentures, or whatever problem you have with the dentures. At My Implant Dentist, we prioritize urgent denture fixes and, depending on the situation, could hand your dentures back to you within 4 hours.

What Are The Different Types Of Dentures?

However, dentures are made for the sole purpose of replacing broken teeth. There are exceptions, depending on your particular situation. Your dentist will determine this after a thorough consultation, but you should know the different types of dentures available before you make that trip to the dentist.

We offer flexible denture options to suit your lifestyle and preferences. Whether you need partial, full or snap-in dentures in Perth, we have the solution for you.

Full Dentures

Full or complete dentures are made to replace the entire upper and lower arch. They may be fastened with a dental adhesive and can be conventional or immediate.

Immediate dentures are created before your teeth extraction procedure and are placed on your teeth immediately after. They are made for use through the healing time and may get loose since your gums and surrounding tissues may shrink during the healing time. This may require the use of conventional dentures down the line.

Conventional dentures are made during your healing time from the tooth extraction procedure. So that when your gums are fully healed, the dentist can test them in your mouth. After that, your dentist will make the necessary adjustments, and you can return to rocking your denture-improved smile. In Perth, we offer top-notch full denture services for our patients.

Partial Dentures

As the name implies, these dentures are made to replace teeth in your mouth when you still have some natural teeth left. These dentures are made with a gum-coloured base and are secured by a metal framework in the mouth. Regardless, partial dentures are removable when properly constructed.

Partial dentures are made to fill in the gaps left by multiple missing teeth, and they keep your remaining natural teeth in place. In a precision partial denture, they are secured by internal attachments rather than clasps attached to adjacent dental crowns.

For individuals in Perth looking for partial dentures, our dental practice offers customised solutions tailored to your specific needs and preferences.

Implant Retained Dentures

Traditional dentures tend to slip and move out of place when you chew, laugh, or talk. Yet dentures give a natural look and fill the gap well, so these types feature implants to secure them.

Implant retained dentures involve the installation of four dental implants into your jawbone on each arch. Then a denture base is secured to the implants. This may be a long-term solution to missing teeth, but only when properly cared for.

The implant retained dentures are still detachable but do not rest on your gum line with a dental adhesive. It makes your involvement in social situations exude confidence since you can rest assured that it will stay in place. You may need to go through a full dental implant procedure for your implant retained dentures.

Same-Day Dentures

Enjoy the convenience of same-day dentures in Perth, allowing you to leave our office with a brand-new smile in just one visit.

Dentures Cost Perth

The cost of dentures strongly depends on your dental situation and your chosen denture treatment option. After your consultation with the dentist, they will inform you of the total cost associated with your dental procedure.

However, on average, dentures typically start at $700 and can go as high as $15,000 for implant retained dentures. As earlier stated, this depends on your recommended treatment plan, which your dentist will thoroughly guide you through.

What Are The Benefits Of Dentures?

It has been established that dentures make a good alternative to natural teeth and fill the gap left by a missing tooth well. And apart from providing you with a nice smile, these are the benefits of dentures:

  • Properly constructed dentures allow you to eat foods that your missing teeth previously limited.
  • They improve your speech and pronunciation over time.
  • Dentures secure your facial muscles, thus retaining your facial shape.
  • Partial dentures secure your natural teeth and prevent them from shifting out of place.
  • Dentures are easily cleaned since most are removable with the addition of a soak in a dental cleaning solution.

How Long Do Dentures Last?

Dentures are known to last an average of 5–10 years with proper care. As long as you brush them with toothpaste twice a day and take them out at night for a denture-cleaning solution soak, they should work fine until they have experienced way too much wear and tear.

After that, your dentist will advise you on what action to take. They may even give you a rough estimate of the expected lifespan of your particular denture at the beginning.

Are Dentures Right For You?

As with most dental procedures, the dentist will thoroughly check whether dentures are the appropriate tooth replacement option for you. That being said, you should schedule an appointment with the dental clinic regardless of the cause of your missing tooth. Then you will discover if dentures are the right solution for your missing teeth.

I was at a really low point in my life, had an accident 2 years ago which broke 3 of my teeth and a bridge in between my 2 front top teeth. From that moment I became extremely conscious of going out, socialising and found my self withdrawn and depressed as I didn't know what to do.Then a friend told me about My Implant Dentist. I plucked up the courage and went for my first consultation at Mindarie Quinns dental practice with Dr Zaheer who explained all my options and advised all on 4 top and bottom. Not only Dr Zaheer but all the staff and doctors at both Mindarie and South Perth were amazing and extremely professional and made the whole process seemless.Having the treatment has given me back confidence and enabled me to socalise and do things with my family and friends that I couldn't do before.I would like to thank Dr Zaheer and all the team at My Implant Dentist for everything they have done for me and recommended them to everyone I speak to.I just can't stop smiling!!!

I picked up”Moorooka Dental Care” contact details from the web. I rang for a few questions and the happy voice of Frances had calmed my anxiety down quickly!Dr Kadwa greeted me from the front bench, took me in for the X-ray, dental assessment, carefully explaining the procedure, answered my questions and quoted for the works. He offered to breakdown work items to suit with my needs. The quote was surprisingly very compatible with my previous quote from overseas. (I know I am going to have my dental treatment in the safe zone, most medical advances in Australia). The implant work went smoothly, so smooth that the team had to remind me “Done!”, well beyond my imagination. When he saw me off with the aftercare instructions, I could feel his professional manners with caring characters. I know he has done a few thousand implants but I still received the care of his first. Thanks Zaheer!I requested X-ray images, Fatimatu responded promptly with friendly chatting.I also would like to thank Dr Linh Trần who was in the operation team at the treatment and follow up cares.
