What is all on 4 dental implants procedure?

All-on-4 dental implants are a complete range of implants that will replace the entire upper or lower jaw. They serve as a more permanent and natural-looking replacement for dentures. Traditionally, each dental implant has a single small titanium screw inserted into the gums by a surgeon. All on 4 Cost varies from dentist to dentist in Perth WA 6006.

Missing all lower teeth

While several patients have little difficulty wearing an upper denture, some patients find lower dentures uncomfortable to wear and eat with. If you are missing one of your lower teeth, you have some implant-supported replacement options.

  • Ball Attached denture

Two implants can be inserted in the lower jaw, and a denture can be made that clips onto the implants. If you use this choice, your lower denture would be more comfortable when chewing than if you don’t. However, your lower denture will continue to move, causing sore spots if any food particles, primarily seeds, get stuck underneath it. Dentures, like all removable replacement teeth, would need to be adjusted regularly.

  • All on 4 Dental implants

Another choice is to insert four implants to keep the denture in place. This would relieve pressure on your gums while still providing you with one of the top in all worlds. A denture that can be removed and washed quickly and a treatment that looks as permanent or fixed as possible. 4 implants for the upper jaw are also thriving. All on 4 implant dentistry has a 98% success rate.

  • Bar attachment denture

Another option involves placing four to six implants, depending on your jaw size or shape, into your lower jaw. After healing is complete, the implants are connected with a custom-made support bar. Your denture will be made with special internal retention clips that attach to the support bar, enabling the denture to snap firmly into place. This is called an “overdenture.” The advantage of this option is that it is much more stable than the first option and allows very little denture movement. Your denture is still removable for easy cleaning and maintenance. With the recent advances of dental implants and technology, this option is being used less and less these days.

  • Screw retained denture

Another choice is to place four to six implants in your lower jaw, based on the size and form of your jaw. The implants are attached with a custom-made support bar after they have healed fully. Internal retaining clips can be used to secure the denture to the support bar, allowing it to lock tightly into position. This is referred to as a “overdenture.” This alternative has the advantage of being much more stable than the first and allowing very little denture movement. Your denture is also removable, allowing for quick washing and upkeep. This alternative is being used less and less these days, thanks to recent advancements in perth implant dentist and technology.

  • Individual implants

The last choice is to have all of your teeth replaced separately so that they appear to be emerging out of your gum tissue and resemble your natural teeth as closely as possible. This procedure usually necessitates eight or more implants. Each of these implants will have its own abutment or support post, and crowns for each damaged tooth will be mounted. To substitute bone height, weight, and support, the teeth are often joined together for sinus grafting. Overall, this is the most expensive choice because it necessitates the most implants and individual replacement tooth fabrication; however, it can give the teeth the most natural appearance and feel.

A Look At An Affordable All-On-4 Dental Implant Procedure

Many patients are opting for dental implants to replace their conventional dentures and partials due to the numerous advantages of the All-on-4 type of tooth replacement. Furthermore, some patients are replacing their missing teeth with implants first, rather than conventional acrylic dental prostheses.

step 1

diagnosis and treatment planning

We will examine your medical history, undertake a physical examination and take X-rays. Once you have decided that this is the best option, preliminary impressions are recorded and a surgical guide is fabricated.

step 2

PLACING THE DENTAL IMPLANTS

If needed, your dentist will remove any remaining teeth and place the dental implants. You can choose to remain awake or be asleep (sleep dentistry). During the same appointment, impressions and a bite record are taken to create temporary acrylic implant bridges. These can usually be fitted on the same day of your surgery.

step 3

FITTING THE TEMPORARY IMPLANT BRIDGES

The fixed temporary acrylic implant bridges will be fitted to your dental implants within 24 hours of your surgery. Usually, no local anesthetic is required for this visit. You will then need to wait 2-6 months for osseointegration to take place (the implants will ‘fuse’ with your bone), and then only the dental implants will be ready for the permanent implant bridge.

step 4

FINAL IMPLANT BRIDGE INSERTED

Your dentist will check the osseointegration of your dental implants, the gums underneath your teeth and ensure that all the implants are successful. At this stage, you will be given the option to upgrade from the temporary acrylic bridge to a Zirconia – Porcelain bridge. This upgrade will provide you with more strength, greater aesthetics, improved comfort, and longevity. It also has a smoother and more natural feel and easier hygiene.
