Don O'Sullivan is a dedicated and creative Prosthetist who has spent over two decades perfecting smiles and enhancing dental functionality. With a unique blend of artistic flair and technical expertise, Don brings a thoughtful and personalised approach to his work.
From an early age, Don was drawn to the arts. His passion for creativity led him to explore various career paths where he could utilize his skills. After graduating from Tuart Hill Senior High School in 1978, Don discovered that the dental field offered an intriguing blend of art and science—particularly in the design and creation of dental appliances. This realisation spurred him into a career that is both technically demanding and artistically fulfilling. Don embarked on his educational journey by starting a Dental Technician apprenticeship in 1979 at Mount Lawley TAFE, soon after finishing high school. His dedication quickly led to employment at the Perth Dental Hospital in 1980. By 1982, Don had qualified as a Dental Technician. His thirst for knowledge didn’t stop there; he furthered his qualifications with an Advanced Dental Technician course in 1990 and eventually opened his own dental laboratory in Joondalup, W.A., in 1996.
Don took a Dental Prosthetist Course at UWA Dental School in 1998 and graduated in 2000. Since then, he has been an integral part of dental clinics across Perth, delivering direct care to patients for over 24 years. Don is committed to staying at the forefront of dental technology and techniques. He actively participates in continual courses and training within his field, ensuring that his practice remains innovative and his skills sharp. Outside the practice, Don has diverse interests that keep his creative and adventurous spirits alive. He is passionate about music, enjoying everything from playing the guitar, clarinet, and saxophone to listening to records. An avid boater, Don loves spending time on the ocean, and he is also a fan of English Premier League soccer.
